Our School Board

San Juan County Board of Education

The Silverton School Board made up of dedicated community members and parents, is committed to thoughtful decisions that support teachers, students, and parents. They focus on meeting students' needs, managing finances, overseeing academics, and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment.

We welcome everyone to join our public meetings, held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. You can find meeting details, agendas, and minutes online, and there’s always time for public comment during regular sessions.

Our Board is made up of five dedicated members, elected to serve staggered four-year terms. Board members help guide our school’s direction, working alongside our Superintendent and staff to put those policies into action. If you're interested in joining the School Board, the next election cycle is in November 2025. Terms run for four years. We’d love for you to get involved!

We believe our school board ensures a supportive and enriching environment for all students.
